Broker Remarks
“Star Dancer” is a 2004 tall masted rig version of the Southerly 110 cruising yacht in excellent condition having been well maintained by current & previous owners.
The Southerly 110 captures the signature qualities of the Southerly range, which have enjoyed enduring popularity over the years. Its modern hull and rigging set a high benchmark for performance, versatility, and aesthetic appeal, making it attractive to both family sailors and cruising enthusiasts alike.
With an aft cockpit, plumb bow, and twin rudder configuration, the Southerly 110 offers an exhilarating sailing experience. The combination of Whitlock direct steering and twin rudders ensures quick, responsive handling, making helming a joy. Even in stronger winds or gusts, the hull design and deep draft provided by the Swing Keel keep the yacht stable and allow it to maintain sail, while the twin rudders offer excellent directional control. In fact, the Southerly 110 is so well-balanced, it practically sails itself.
The unique Swing Keel enhances windward performance with a deep draft, while its ability to retract to just 2'4'' allows for shallow draft cruising, ideal for coastal areas and inland waters. As with all Southerlys, this yacht can also dry out and remain upright.
Step aboard the Southerly 110 and you'll immediately notice the traditional craftsmanship and quality. Key features include panoramic views, a spacious saloon, an open galley, raised chart table, forward cabin, and a generously sized aft cabin.
Berthing included until March 2025.
