About this boat
Affinity is a 1998 Westerly Ocean 33, a superb ocean-going cruising yacht engineered for speed, comfort, and exceptional seaworthiness. Penned by Ed Dubois, she holds a Category A cruising rating. While she is effortless for a couple to handle, she remains spacious enough for family adventures, making her ideal for both ambitious offshore voyages and leisurely coastal trips.
The Westerly Ocean 33 is widely considered one of the premier models produced by the celebrated Westerly shipyard. Boasting an elegant design, robust construction, and impressive performance when beating into the wind, these vessels are a rare find on the brokerage market, as only 33 examples were ever manufactured.
She comes well-outfitted with a Garmin chart plotter, Raytheon radar, iCom VHF, and a full suite of B&G instrumentation, including GPS, depth, speed, wind, and Navtex systems.
Current owners report that they are the second custodians and have enjoyed cruising Affinity throughout the Solent, the West Country, and the Channel Islands. They note that she performs beautifully in light air and feels secure and stable when the breeze picks up, though they have personally favored relaxed cruising.
