The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40 features a GRP hull, deck, and superstructure, complemented by a fin keel. Power is supplied by a Yanmar 55HP shaft-driven diesel engine. The sail inventory consists of a main and a 2022 Genoa, both utilized via slab reefing.

Onboard accommodation offers three double berths across three separate cabins, in addition to the saloon. The interior includes a dedicated head compartment equipped with a sea toilet and shower, along with the comforts of hot water and warm air heating systems.

Included equipment features an electric anchor windlass and a full suite of Raymarine instrumentation, including radar, which is detailed in the inventory. Further highlights include self-tailing winches, cockpit-led slab reefing, shore power connectivity, an outboard davit, two electric bilge pumps, a 2020 life raft, and a radar reflector. Maintenance updates include new engine mounts installed in 2021.

This Sun Odyssey 40 was used as a charter vessel for a sailing school initially and in more recent years has been in private ownership. She is currently ashore has been sanded back dried and tested, epoxied with 4 coats of Intershield. She’s had the rudder off and rebuilt, new bearings top and bottom. New cutlass bearing. New hood, remade stack pack. New Genoa. Main valeted and remade. 

She is at the final stages of being prepared for sale and some historical photos are being used.
